Configuring the Media Player

When customers purchase an NCR MP600 Media Player (1930), the product serial number is entered into the server based on the customer SystemID and is assigned an activation schedule or configuration. This serial number registration enables the server to automatically download and install customer configurations when the media player is powered up during installation.

When the NCR MP600 Media Player (1930) powers up, one of the following scenarios occurs:

The specific application version of the customer is automatically downloaded and installed. Then, the player software downloads the configuration and associated media, and applies the downloaded configuration. This means that the serial number is already registered in the server.

Do the following:

Confirm if the unit is up and is displaying correct content with the store manager.

A unique 8–digit application code is displayed on the screen. The following image shows an example of the application code.

Do the following:

1.Provide 8-digit app code and/or verify connectivity by calling 800-468-3031 and then selecting Option 1. NOC then verifes server connectivity, assigns hardware to customer system, and schedules content.

2.Confirm if the unit is up and is displaying correct content with the store manager.

The server default content is displayed on the screen.

Do the following:
