Honeywell EZConfig Tool

To program Honeywell Imagers using the programming sheets, the Honeywell EZConfig Tool must be installed.

Note:  The procedure below is for Windows OS.

1.Create a free Honeywell account at https://cwa.honeywell.com/profile/registration?appid=3969&lang=EN

2.Download and install the Honeywell Downloader Tool from http://hsmftpsoft.blob.core.windows.net/downloader/HoneywellSoftwareDownloaderDM.Setup.msi

3.Download the following Honeywell drivers from https://hsmftp.honeywell.com/

•USB Serial Com Port Emulation driver — HSM USB Serial Driver version 3.5.18_(NOWHQL).zip

Note:  Windows 10 comes with a Com Port Emulation driver, but this does not work with Honeywell Devices. It is required to install the Honeywell USB Serial Com Port Emulation driver.

•EZConfig driver — EZConfig-Scanning v4_v4.5.34_Setup.exe

4.Install the Honeywell USB Serial Com Port Emulation.

a.Extract all the files from HSM USB Serial Driver version 3.5.18_(NOWHQL).zip to a folder.

b.Open the folder.

c.Right–click on setup.bat and select Run as Administrator.

Note:   If the Honeywell USB Serial Com Port Emulation is not installed properly, Windows will not report any errors, but the imager or scanner will not work properly.

5.Install the Honeywell EZConfig Tool by running EZConfig-Scanning v4_v4.5.34_Setup.exe

Note:  EZConfig is browser–based. Internet Explorer is recommended.
