Saving Configuration Settings
The configuration settings can be saved to a binary (.bin) file. These files can be used in a script for the printer. This option is used to remotely send commands to the printer using another utility. The Lean Receipt Utility cannot send binary or configuration files to a printer.

For NCR 7169 and NCR 7199 Series printer models, the configuration settings can be saved to either a binary (.bin) file or a configuration (.cfg) file.
To save the configuration settings to a file, follow these steps:
- From the Device dropdown list, select the printer model.
- From the Interface dropdown list, select FILE.
- Select Open.
- To add a reboot command at the end of the binary file (.bin), select Add Reboot.
- From the additional functions on the right section of the screen, select Save File. Depending on the selected device, the application displays either the Save Binary File or the Save File window.
- Use the following procedures to save the file.
File type Do the following .bin - If using the NCR 7169 or NCR 7199 Series devices, select Save *.bin on the Save File window. The Save Binary File window is displayed.
- On the Save Binary File window, browse for the folder where the binary file will be saved.
- On the File name field, enter a file name for the binary file.
- Select Save. The file is saved in the specified folder.
.cfg - On the Save File window, select Save *.cfg. The File Version window is displayed.
- Enter the version for the file. The version uses the XX.XX format, with xx ranging from 00 to 99.
- Select OK. The application displays the Save Cfg File window.
- On the Save Cfg File window, browse for the folder where the configuration file will be saved.
- On the File name field, enter a file name for the configuration file.
- Select Save. The file is saved in the specified folder.
