Auto-Discrimination

The NCR 7879 automatically discriminates and decodes a variety of bar code symbologies. Following are the various bar code types recognized by the NCR 7879.

•GS1 DataBar™ Linear, Omnidirectional, Stacked Omni-directional, Expanded, Expanded Stacked

•GS1 DataBar™ expanded at x-10 mil printed on thermal paper by a 200 dpi thermal label printer (heavy use of color on label touching bar code when GS1 has no quiet zone)

•GS1 DataBar™ expanded, 4 rows high at x<10 mil printed on shinny paper like in a magazine for coupon testing
