Isolating Sensormatic® Problems
The Sensormatic® device deactivates security tags when an item is scanned. If the device does not deactivate the security tags, check the following.
1.Check the Sensormatic® ScanMaxTM Pro Controller for being turned on. If it is off, turn the controller On.
2.Check the connectors on the Sensormatic® Antenna cable that goes between the Sensormatic® coil around the Horizontal Scan Window and the NCR 7879. Make sure the cable is properly connected.
3.If steps 1 or 2 do not correct the problem, call for service.
