Masking Definitions

The following table describes the Masking Definitions options. The Masking Definitions options are configurable for Credit Tenders and Media Tenders.

Note

After deploying changes to any of these parameters to the POS, reboot the affected POS terminals so that changes would take effect.

Option name	Value	Description
Masking Definition ID	An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters.	Specifies the ID for the masking scheme.
Masking Symbol	A special character value with one character.	Specifies the character used to mask the data.
Number of ending characters shown unmasked	A numeric value from zero to 99.	Specifies the number of characters at the end to show unmasked.
Number of starting characters shown unmasked	A numeric value from zero to 99.	Specifies the number of characters at the beginning to show unmasked.
