Discount Menu Options
The following table describes the Discount Menu options.
This is a multi-record option group. Records can be added as necessary. This parameter group has a maximum limit of 99 records.

Additional Discounts To Disable | An alphanumeric value from zero to 255 characters | Specifies the sort value keys for the other discount types that would be disabled when the corresponding discount type for this option is performed on the POS. Note
This parameter accepts multiple values separated by a comma. |
Amount Off Fixed Value | A numeric value from zero to 999999999 | Specifies the fixed amount discount to be applied to all transactions when the Discount button is selected on the POS. To use this option, set the Prompt For Value option to No. Note
This option assumes two decimal places. |
Associate ID Fixed Value | An alphanumeric value from zero to 50 characters | Specifies the Associate ID value to be used to apply an associate discount to a transaction. To use this option, set the Discount Type option to Associate Discount. |
Associate Trigger Code Fixed Value | An alphanumeric value from zero to 20 characters | Specifies the AMS trigger code to be used to apply an associate discount to a transaction. Note

Discount Description | An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters | Provides the discount description displayed on the sequence number. |
Discount Disabled After Use | Yes/No | Determines whether or not to limit the use of the discount to once per transaction. |
Discount Type | One of the following values:
| Determines the type of transaction–level discount.

Enable Discount | Yes/No | Determines if transaction–level discounts can be used. This option displays or hides the Discount button on the POS terminal during a sales transaction.

Percent Off Fixed Value | A numeric value from zero to 999 | Specifies the percentage discount to be applied to all transactions when the Discount button is selected on the POS. Note
To use this option, set the Prompt For Value option to No. |
Prompt For Value | Yes/No | Determines whether or not the POS terminal prompts the user for a discount value when the Discount button is selected.

Sequence Number | A numeric value from zero to 99 | Determines the order in which the discount descriptions will be displayed on the POS application. This parameter is the record's key. |
Transaction Discount Require Reason Code | Yes/No | Determines whether or not the POS requires a reason when a transaction discount is entered. This value can differ for each discount type. Note
Enter discount reasons in the Transaction Discount Reason Codes option. For more information, refer to Transaction Level Discount Reason Codes. |
Trigger Code Fixed Value | A numeric value from zero to 99999999999999999999 | Designates the trigger code value to be applied to all transactions when the Discount button is selected on the POS. To use this option, set the Discount Type option to Trigger Code. Note
This option applies only to AS systems integrated with AMS. Trigger codes are configured in AMS Logix. |
