Automatic Report Printing
Retailers can use the Automatic Report Printing options to automatically print the custom reports configured in the Custom Report Definitions parameter group. For more information about configuring custom reports, refer to Custom Report Definitions
Important
The following prerequisites must be met:
- The store’s enterprise servers have been configured to support custom reports. For more information about configuring enterprise servers to support custom reports, consult with an NCR Representative. For more information about using this feature on the POS application, refer to Generating custom store reports.
- The Windows printer property in the DeviceManager.xml file has been enabled. For more information, refer to Configuring the Device Manager File.
The following table describes the Automatic Report Printing options.

This is a multi-record option group. Records can be added as necessary.
Option name | Value | Description |
---|---|---|
Delay Time | A time value with the following format: HH:MM:SS | Specifies the amount of time the POS application waits before automatically printing the report. The specified duration starts after closing or opening the store. |
Is Active | Yes/No | Determines whether or not the report is active or not. |
Message Type | An alphanumeric value from one to 80 characters. | Determines the message type that is printed on the report. The POS application currently supports the following value for this parameter: AutoRunCustomReports. |
Report End Time (hh:mm:ss) | A time value with the following format: HH:MM:SS | Determines the end time of the report. |
Report ID | An alphanumeric value from one to 40 characters | Specifies the unique ID of the report. |
Report Name | An alphanumeric value from one to 40 characters | Defines the name of the report. |
Report Print Event | One of the following values:
| Determines whether or not the POS application automatically prints the report upon closing or opening the store. |
Report Start Time (hh:mm:ss) | A time value with the following format: HH:MM:SS | Determines the start time of the report. |
Top Count | A numeric value from zero to 9999 | Determines the number of latest transactions that will be printed on the report. |
