Reason Definitions

The following table describes the Reason Definitions options.

This is a multi-record option group. Records can be added as necessary. This parameter group has a maximum limit of 999 records.

Additional Text Prompt Scheme	An alphanumeric value from zero to 255 characters	Determines the text prompt scheme that is used when entering additional information for the specified reason.
Description	An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters	Determines the text that is displayed on the POS button of the specified reason.
Franking Slip Template	An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters	Determines the franking slip template that is used to frank the specified reason.
Item Level Reason Chit Template Name	An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters	Defines the name of the reason’s corresponding receipt template. When the specified reason is applied to an item, the POS application uses this template to print the item chit.
Parent Reason ID	An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters	Determines the parent reason ID of the specified reason.
Reason Code	A numeric value from zero to 9999999999999999	Defines the code assigned to the specified reason.
Reason ID	An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters	Determines the reason ID of the specified reason. This parameter is the record's key.
Transaction Level Reason Chit Template Name	An alphanumeric value from zero to 40 characters	Defines the name of the reason’s corresponding receipt template. When the specified reason is applied to an item, the POS application uses this template to print a specifically configured copy of the transaction receipt.
