Universal Engine Properties

Note

After deploying changes to any of these parameters to the POS, reboot the updated POS terminals for changes to take effect.

The following table describes the Universal Engine Properties options.

Note

When this parameter is enabled, unused trigger codes are not displayed on the POS and printed on transaction receipts.

Enable Logging True/False False Specifies the POS–UE Logging off or on.
PLU Coupon Lower Limit A numeric value from zero to 9999999999999999 00300000000000 Specifies the lower limit of the PLU range by which to designate items as coupons.
PLU Coupon Upper Limit A numeric value from zero to 9999999999999999 00400000000000 Specifies the upper limit of the PLU range by which to designate items as coupons.
Timeout in Milliseconds A numeric value from zero to 999999 180000 Specifies the timeout in milliseconds.
Trigger Code Padding Length A numeric value from zero to 99 16

Specifies the number of digits up to which the trigger code is padded before it is sent to the AMS UE.

  • If the value is set to a specific number, then the trigger code is padded with zeroes to the left until the number of digits reach the specified value.
  • If the number of digits on the trigger code is equal to or exceeds the specified value, then the trigger code is not padded before it is sent to the AMS UE.
  • If the value is set to zero, then the trigger code is not padded before it is sent to the AMS UE.
