Understanding User Role Restrictions
The Advanced Store solution manages its security levels through user roles. Across an enterprise or a store, retailers are able to assign user roles to the recognized associate role names. Through user roles, retailers can restrict access to specific features and functions in the system and assign them to their designated associate user roles.
Role name
The user role name identifies the position of the user in the Advanced Store solution.
Role code
The user role code provides the following features:
- Determines the responsibility of the user.
- Provides an additional security level to the EOM application.
- Provides the ability to restrict access to features or applications to specific users; for example, the ETS users and cashiers or sales associates.
- Determines the user type.
Use the following table to identify the default role names and role codes in the Advanced Store solution.
