Viewing Transaction Details
When a transaction is searched for, the details of the transactions can be viewed in two detail formats:
- Receipt Image—displays the search results similar to a receipt format.
- POSLog XML—displays the raw POSLog data sent from the POS terminals.

To view the details of the transaction, follow these steps:
- On the Business Unit tab of the ETS window, select the business unit(s) from which the transaction data would be collected.
- On the Retail Transaction tab, specify any of the following available criteria to be included in the transaction search and report:
- Transaction type
- Sale date
- Sales time
- Workstation number
- Transaction number
- Operator number
- Supervisor Override
- MGC Station number
NoteTo use the Business date and Business time criteria, select the Use Business Date checkbox.
- Specify the transaction criteria to include in the following tabs:
- Tender
- Transaction Totals
- Reports
- Items
- Customer
- Select Search. The application displays the search results in the Search Results pane located at the bottom of the window.
- On the Search Results pane, select the checkbox for the transaction to be displayed. Multiple transaction results can be selected.
- From the Detail Format list, select one of the following formats:
- Receipt Image
- POSLog XML
- Select Export Data. The application displays the Information window.
- Select one of the following export options:
- Summary
- Receipt DataNote
To view the Receipt Data option, select Receipt Format first from the Detail Format drop-down list.
- Select one of the following file formats:
- PDF—Portable Document Format
- RTF—Rich Text Format
- XLS—Microsoft Excel File Format
- XML—Extensible Markup Language
- Select OK. The application displays an information message.
- Do one of the following:
- Select Open with, and then select the file reader from the list of available applications to open the file.
- Select Save File to save the file on the computer.
NoteSelect Do this automatically for files like this from now on to skip this window from displaying when Export Data function is performed again.
- Select OK. The application exports the selected transaction data and format.
