Uninstalling the Advanced Store Enterprise Solution

This section describes the steps for uninstalling the following components of the Advanced Store Enterprise Solution:

  • NCR DSR Enterprise Solutions Servers
  • In-Store Server and POS Terminals

Uninstalling the Enterprise Solution Servers

This section describes the steps for uninstalling the NCR DSR Enterprise Solution Servers. The uninstallation procedures are designed for servers that have been installed in a distributed environment.

Important
  • The instructions provided in this topic apply to a full installation, and not when upgrading from one release version to another.
  • Ensure that all customized files have been backed up. For more information, consult with an NCR Representative.
Note

For best practices, follow the uninstallation order presented in this document.

NCR DSR Enterprise Database server

To uninstall the NCR DSR Enterprise Database Server, detach and drop the databases. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio application.
  2. Right-click the database, then select Tasks > Detach. The following window is displayed.

  3. Select the Drop Connections checkbox.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Complete steps 1–3 for the following databases:
    • Associate
    • CoreDb
    • NCRWO_EJ
    • NCRWO_FlexWikiSqlStore
    • NCRWO_LogDB
    • NCRWO_Options
    • NCRWO_Reports
    • NCRWO_Transactions
    • NCRWO_Transport
    • NCRWO_WebOfficeSE
    • ProductDb
    • RTEEnterpriseOptionsData
    • RTEStoreManagersDesktop
    • SalesAdvisorDb
    • TransactionLogDb
    • TrustedCustomer
    Note

    If the following databases exist, do not detach and drop them. These databases are part of the AMS application:

    • LogixEX
    • LogixRT
    • LogixWH
    • LogixXS
    • PrefManRT

NCR DSR Enterprise Messaging server

To uninstall the NCR DSR Enterprise Messaging Server, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the list of Programs and Features in the system Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the NCR DSR Enterprise Server application to start the uninstallation.
  3. When the uninstallation has completed, press F5 to refresh the list, and then verify that the NCR applications have been removed from the list.
  4. If present in the specified directories, delete the following folders.
    • DSREnterprise folder from %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\NCR
    • RetailOne folder from %PROGRAMDATA%\NCR

NCR DSR Enterprise Web/API server

To uninstall the NCR DSR Enterprise Web/API Server, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the list of Programs and Features in the system Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the NCR DSR Enterprise Server application to start the uninstallation.
  3. When the uninstallation has completed, press F5 to refresh the list, and then verify that the NCR applications have been removed from the list.
  4. If present in the specified directories, delete the following folders.
    • DSREnterprise folder from %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\NCR
    • RetailOne folder from %PROGRAMDATA%\NCR

NCR DSR Enterprise Application server

To uninstall the NCR DSR Enterprise Application Server, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the list of Programs and Features in the system Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the NCR DSR Enterprise Server application to start the uninstallation.
  3. When the uninstallation has completed, press F5 to refresh the list, and then verify that the NCR applications have been removed from the list.
  4. If present in the specified directories, delete the following folders.
    • DSREnterprise folder from %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\NCR
    • RetailOne folder from %PROGRAMDATA%\NCR

Enterprise Options Management (EOM) server

To uninstall the NCR EOM Server, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the list of Programs and Features in the system Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the NCR Advanced Store Server - Customer Config Overlay application to start the uninstallation.
  3. Double-click the NCR Advanced Store Server Suite application to start the uninstallation. After the uninstallation, the system restarts.
    Note

    If an uninstallation error message is displayed, or if system uninstall privileges are not met, uninstall the following applications in the following order:

    1. NCR EOM-ETS Server
    2. SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework
  4. Double-click the NCR DSR Enterprise Server application to start the uninstallation.
  5. Open the Control Panel, and verify that the NCR applications have been removed from the list.
  6. Delete the NCR folders from the following directories:
    • %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%
    • %PROGRAMDATA%

Enterprise Transaction Search (ETS) server

To uninstall the NCR ETS Server, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the list of Programs and Features in the system Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the NCR Advanced Store Server - Customer Config Overlay application to start the uninstallation.
  3. Double-click the NCR Advanced Store Server Suite application to start the uninstallation. After the uninstallation, the system restarts.
    Note

    If an uninstallation error message is displayed, or if system uninstall privileges are not met, uninstall the following applications in the following order:

    1. NCR EOM-ETS Server
    2. SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework
  4. Double-click the NCR DSR Enterprise Server application to start the uninstallation.
  5. Open the Control Panel, and verify that the NCR applications have been removed from the list.
  6. Delete the NCR folders from the following directories:
    • %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%
    • %PROGRAMDATA%
