Installing Roles and Features on the Web Server

Install the required Server Roles and Features using the Windows Add Roles and Features Wizard in Windows Server Manager. Select the version of .NET Framework 4.x included with your version of MS Windows Server.

Select the following installation options:

Installation Type

• Application Server

  Required only for Windows Server 2012 R2.

• Web Server (IIS)
  • Common HTTP Features
  • Health and Diagnostics
  • Performance
  • Security
  • Application Development, with the following options:
    • .NET Extensibility 4.x
    • Application Initialization
    • ASP.NET 4.x
    • ISAPI Extensions
    • ISAPI Filters
  • Management Tools, with the following options:
    • IIS Management Console
    • IIS Management Scripts and Tools
