POS Terminal Software Prerequisites

Before installing the Advanced Store solution, download and install the prerequisites following the instructions provided on this publication site. Third-party software can be downloaded from each vendor’s website.

When installing the prerequisite applications, ensure that you have administrative privileges on your system.

Microsoft .NET Note Required for microservices.	.NET Runtime Hosting Bundle version 6.0.12 or later dotnet-hosting-6.0.12-win.exe Note The 64-bit (x64) version of .NET Core must not exist on the machine before installing the Hosting Bundle. NCR Retail Platform Software for Windows (RPSW) Note Only required for systems with NCR physical hardware and peripherals. For more information on installing NCR RPSW, refer to the NCR Retail Platform Software for Windows User Guide (https://onlinehelp.ncr.com).	For 32-bit systems: NCR Retail Platform Software version 4.3.2.0 Use latest available patch.

WebView2 Runtime Note Required for Running the POS application in a browser container in Edge. Portable Document Format (PDF) reader application	Reads the tax form data for the Print Tax Form feature. For more information, refer to Printing tax forms.

Software installers

Download the following NCR installation packages.

Required installer	File name	Description
NCR Advanced Store POS Suite	NCR Advanced Store POS Suite.exe	Installs the base POS application and required files.
NCR Universal Engine	NCR Universal Engine.msi	Installs the Universal Engine application and its required files. The POS uses the Universal Engine to access member loyalty and promotional data in Logix.
NCR Advanced Store POS Custom Input Creator	NCR Advanced Store POS Custom Input Creator.msi	Creates the InputsList.dsixml file. This file establishes the connections between the POS terminal or In-Store Server and the Enterprise Solution Servers, Logix Server, and other servers, as applicable.
