NCR recommends changing the default passwords for the default users to secure the RabbitMQ Server application access. New passwords must meet the following complexity requirements:

  • Must be at least eight characters in length
  • Must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one special character, and one number

For more information about changing default RabbitMQ credentials, refer to the following sections.

Important

When upgrading to Advanced Store 6.8 release version 23 or later, the upgrade process does not overwrite the current password of the default RabbitMQ users. Make sure that the password of the default users and other existing RabbitMQ users in the system meet the password policies specified above.
