EOM timeout options
The Advanced Store Enterprise Options Management (EOM) application provides some timeout options that can be configured to specify timeout values for various POS application functions.

The following table lists the suggested values for timeout options defined in EOM.

Auto Sign Off Warning Time | Auto Sign Off | 20 | Specifies the number of seconds that the warning window is displayed before the auto sign off is completed. |
Max Idle Time Front Lane | Auto Sign Off | 180 | Specifies the maximum number of seconds that a register can remain idle between transactions while in the Cashier mode. |
Max Idle Time Service Desk | Auto Sign Off | 360 | Specifies the maximum number of seconds a register can remain idle between transaction while in the Service Desk mode. |
Max Transaction Idle Time | Auto Sign Off | 540 | Specifies the maximum number of seconds that a register can remain idle during a transaction. |
Cash Drawer Open Timeout | Cash Drawer | 120 | Specifies the amount of time, in seconds, that the cash drawer remains open before an alert is triggered. |
Item Lock-out Time | Returns Setup | 5 | Specifies the amount of time, in minutes, that an item remains locked in the central database during a return transaction. |
Timeout in Milliseconds | Universal Engine Properties | 180000 | Specifies the timeout value, in milliseconds, for communicating transaction, such as item add, member look-up, discount, end of transaction with UE. This value represents any time the cashier interacts with the register. |
Suspend File Lock Timeout | Workstation to Server | 60 | Specifies the amount of time a Suspend File remains locked. |
