Updating the BIOS/UEFI

Introduction

The BIOS/UEFI is located in the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) chip on the processor board. The software update is distributed via the NCR Website.

The BIOS update can be performed using the following methods:

•REF

•USB Image

•Network Image- Refer to the NCR PXE Imager Loader User's Guide (B005-0000-2326) for more information.

•Windows Flash Executable

This section discusses the procedure of performing BIOS/UEFI update using a USB Image.

Prerequisites

The following are required to perform an SPI/BIOS update.

•USB Keyboard

•USB Drive (Formatted as FAAT or FAT 32)

To perform BIOS/UEFI update, follow these steps:

1.Download the BIOS/UEFI software update.

2.Create a bootable USB memory device.

3.Install BIOS/UEFI update.
