Inspecting and Cleaning Sensors
Check the outputs of the sensors and clean any sensors that are dirty. To view sensor outputs, access Profile Manager Lite (PML).
1.Access Profile Manager Lite. See Profile Manager Lite (PML)
2.Access the Check Health: Fujitsu Bill Dispenser dialogue window in PML.
3.Verify the status of the sensors located in the lower left corner of the screen. Each sensor is listed with its corresponding light-emitting level value and the sensor status. Sensor status ratings are: Good, Dirty, and Broken.
4.Clean any of the sensors that have a sensor status of "Dirty". If any sensors display a status of "Broken," verify that the emitter and receiver sensor cables are securely connected to the sensors on the bracket. If unable to resolve the "broken" status, replace unit and send defective unit for repair.
Cleaning Sensors
Sensors are composed of an emitter and receiver. Most are connected to a U shaped bracket.
1.Locate the sensor bracket for the sensor pair that needs to be cleaned.
2.Using a clean, dry cotton tipped swab, remove dust from both the emitter and receiver sensors that you can easily access.
3.If you cannot reach the sensor with cotton tipped swab, remove the screw securing the sensor bracket to the unit and carefully remove the bracket and sensors from the unit.
4.Wipe the transparent "H" emitting sensor with a clean, dry cotton tipped swab.
5.Wipe the black "J" receiving sensor with a clean, dry cotton tipped swab.
6.Align positioning node on sensor bracket with positioning dimple on unit and secure bracket to unit with a screw.
