Other I/O External Connections
Serial RS-232
Two RS-232 Standard 9-pin D-shell connectors are available on the I/O.
Both ports have a shunt to select between +12V (default), +5V, or normal RI functionality.
Maximum power capability is 1.5A from any one port. These ports are marked on the rear I/O with a “lightning bolt” symbol to signify its powered capability. The power outputs from the powered ports are protected by a self-healing fuse.
The available power must be calculated using the NCR CX8 POS (7736) Power Matrix.
These ports are provided in two single DB9 panel mount cable assembly mounted on the rear I/O chassis.
