Logging on to PML with an encrypted key

This procedure requires generating an encrypted key using a USB dongle. For more information, refer to Generating an encrypted key.

To log on to PML using an encrypted key, follow these steps:

1. Press the Supervisor Switch or log on to Supervisor Mode.

   

2. Enter your ID and Password. The Utility Functions screen is displayed.’
3. Select Stop SelfServ Checkout and Run Profile Manager. The system detects that a USB dongle is not plugged in. The PML - Token Authentication window is displayed.

   

4. Enter the encrypted key that is generated from the PML Remote Key Generator Tool. For more information, refer to the NCR FastLane SelfServ™ Checkout Profile Manager Lite (PML) User Guide for ADD 3.X (B005-0000-2279).
   Note

   Make sure the encrypted key is not expired. If the key is expired, generate another key.

   

5. Select Authenticate. The PML application validates the key.

   If the key is valid, the following message is displayed.

   

6. Select Continue. The PML window is displayed.

   

7. From the top section of the PML window, select Cash Changer.
8. From the bottom section of the PML window, select Fujitsu GSR50. The following window is displayed.
