Removing the Checkpoint® Controller
To remove the Checkpoint® Controller, follow these steps:
- Turn off the Self-Checkout hardware and software systems.
- Disconnect the cables from the 7895 Scanner/Scale.
- Open the Pedestal Cabinet. For more information, refer to Opening the Pedestal Cabinet.
- Remove the Single Window Scanner. For more information, refer to Removing the Single Window Scanner (Datalogic Magellan 1500i).
- Remove the two (2) cable ties to detach the Antenna Extender Cable from the Scanner window, as shown in the image below.
- Untangle the Antenna Extender Cable from the four (4) hook tabs of the Scanner Window, as shown in the image below.
- Disconnect the Checkpoint® cable from the RS232 COM Port 1 of the KIO Board, as shown in the image below.
- Remove the Checkpoint® Controller from the Pedestal Cabinet.
- Remove two (2) screws to detach the Checkpoint® Controller assembly from the Pedestal Cabinet frame, as shown in the image below.
- Detach the Checkpoint® Controller from the bracket, as shown in the image below.
