Removing the Checkpoint® Controller

To remove the Checkpoint® Controller, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the Self-Checkout hardware and software systems.
  2. Disconnect the cables from the 7895 Scanner/Scale.
  3. Open the Pedestal Cabinet. For more information, refer to Opening the Pedestal Cabinet.
  4. Remove the Single Window Scanner. For more information, refer to Removing the Single Window Scanner (Datalogic Magellan 1500i).
  5. Remove the two (2) cable ties to detach the Antenna Extender Cable from the Scanner window, as shown in the image below.

  6. Untangle the Antenna Extender Cable from the four (4) hook tabs of the Scanner Window, as shown in the image below.

  7. Disconnect the Checkpoint® cable from the RS232 COM Port 1 of the KIO Board, as shown in the image below.

  1. Remove the Checkpoint® Controller from the Pedestal Cabinet.
  2. Remove two (2) screws to detach the Checkpoint® Controller assembly from the Pedestal Cabinet frame, as shown in the image below.

  3. Detach the Checkpoint® Controller from the bracket, as shown in the image below.
