Associate Optional Information

The following table describes the Associate Optional Information options.

Note

This is a multi-record option group. Records can be added as necessary.

Option name Value Description
Data Type One of the following values:
  • Alphanumeric
  • Date
  • Numeric
  • Phone Number
  • Text

Specifies the data type of the attribute. Select one of the following data types:

  • Alphanumeric—accepts data input with a combination of letters and numbers.
  • Date—accepts data input with numbers only.
  • Numeric—accepts data input with numbers only.
  • Phone Number—accepts data input with numbers only.
  • Text—accepts data input with a combination of letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and symbols, such as @, &, and *.
Display Order A numeric value from one to 99

Specifies the order that the unique field ID is displayed in the POS.

Note

The optional associate information is displayed after the mandatory associate information. Display Order does not apply to Job Role on the POS Associate Information screen.
Display Text An alphanumeric value from one to 30 characters Describes the display text in the POS for the attribute.
Input Length A numeric value from zero to 999

Specifies the maximum input length of the attribute.

Note

Input Length does not apply to Country, Phone Number, State, and Zip Code. The length for these fields is specified in the Local Customization options. For more information, refer to Local Customization.
Is this attribute displayed? Yes/No Use Yes to display the attribute in the POS.
Is this attribute required? Yes/No

Use Yes to determine whether the attribute is required.

Note

Required attributes must be displayed in the POS.
Unique Field ID An alphanumeric value from one to 50 characters

Specifies a unique identifier for a field that can be displayed on the POS screen.

This parameter is the record's key.
