Printing Temporary Shopping Passes

Some retailers issue temporary shopping passes to customers approved for a house card. With the temporary shopping pass, customers can use their card privileges for a period of time before the house card even arrives in the mail. For more information on how to define the shopping pass validity period, consult with an NCR Representative.

For the application to print a temporary shopping pass, the following conditions must be satisfied:

• The credit application was completed using the retailer’s credit application service. For more information, refer to Client-controlled application method.
• The retailer has determined the type of receipt template that is used for printing the temporary shopping pass. For more information, refer to Credit Application.

When the POS is integrated with the Verifone Point payment solution, a modified temporary shopping pass can be printed. The modified shopping pass displays the customer information, credit balance, and an account token which can be used for external order-creation systems.
