Generating a receipt
The POS application gives retailers the option to generate printed and digital receipts.
Configurable features
The POS application can be configured with the following features.
- Define the printers that are available in the store network. Refer to the following option:
- Receipt Printing > Available Network Printers
- Configure the POS application to print the detailed tax lines, total tax, or both detailed tax lines and total tax on the customer receipts. Refer to the following option:
- POS Receipts > Receipt Tax Information
- Enable digital receipts. Refer to the following section:
- Determine which button is displayed on the Receipt Preference screen. Refer to the following option:
- Menu Buttons > Receipt Preference Type
- Set a default receipt type when the prompt for the customer’s receipt preference is skipped. Refer to the following option:
- Customer Configuration > Default Receipt Type
- Enable the POS application to print a return price and determine which option. Refer to the following option:
- Returns Setup > Print Return Price Options
- Enable the PIN pad to accept the customer’s e-mail confirmation or opt-in or opt-out options for promotional e-mails when the POS is integrated with Common Client. Refer to the following option:
- Customer Configuration > Email Confirmation
When connected to a payment solution, the POS application displays the receipt preference options on compatible PIN pad devices. Customers can then choose the receipt type on the PIN pad and enter e-mail information when necessary.
